About Doctor
Dr. Monika is trained Lasik and refractive surgeon. She did her graduation from Bangalore and her post graduation from Baroda. She was awarded the Gold medal for the year 2012 by National Baroda of Examination.
At a young age, she has done more than 5000 successful refractive surgeries. She has invented her own technique to do PRK in patients with nystagmus.
An innovator, she has presented more than 20 original scientific papers in various conferences. She received the best paper award in the anterior segment in all Gujarat ophthalmological society meeting at Gandhinagar in 2010. She also won the best paper for her work on hyperopic lasik at agoc conference at anand. She has 6 original articles in peer reviewed journals. She has been invited as guest faculty and has deliverd 100 talks in last 10 years at State and National opthalmology societies apart from the various awareness talks in the city of Baroda.
She has organised many important conference on lasik and refractive surgery in last few years.
Her mission is to treat people who are suffering from the various eye problems especially refractive error. She has a motto to treat patients and help them get rid of their thick glasses and to improve their quality of life. It gives them confidence, make life easier, expands their fields and above all makes life simpler and clearer without glasses. She is a life member of All India ophthalmological Society. All Gujarat Ophthalmological Society, women Ophthalmological Society, Intracular implant and Refractive society of India. Baroda Ophthalmological Society. Delhi Opthalmological Society and India Medical Association.
